Frank Niceley, is the Republican Representative-elect for state House District 17.

The district includes Deane Hills, Rocky Hill, Sequoyah Hills and South Knox County in Knox County and most of Jefferson County. He grew up in Knox County and he and his wife Cindie have lived in Jefferson County since graduating from college.

He is a farmer and a businessman, a graduate of Jefferson County High School and the University of Tennessee. He served in the legislature from 1988-1992. He serves on the board of the East Tennessee Historical Society.

He has been endorsed in this election by the National Rifle Association, Tennessee Right to Life, the Tennessee Conservative Union (the anti-income tax group), and the State Employees Association. He has been endorsed by Knoxville fire fighters and the Fraternal Order of Police.

He has also been endorsed by Knox County Sheriff Tim Hutchison. Frank has earned a "Very Favorable" rating from Citizens for Home Rule.
